A study by the e-tailing group discovered that consumers highly value the ability to research a product before purchasing it, in order to find the best price guarantee. The current online consumer behavior is based on the efficiency of price comparison. This means that customers are highly likely to Google prices of the products that they’re interested in, or for instance use the Amazon price check before they decide what they should buy. This is where comparison shopping engines and apps step in, in order to facilitate this growing need of consumers.
Amazon Device Deals - Last year, Amazon offered the Echo Dot for $29.99, (review deal) the Echo Plus for $119.99, (review deal) the Fire 7 Kids Edition for $69.99, (review deal) the Fire HD 10 for $99.99, (review deal) and the Kindle for $49.99. (review deal). While Best Buy had an impressive selection of Amazon device deals last year (review deals), it is still better to make the purchase from the source. Amazon not only had the largest quantity of its own devices, but it also had special deals that you do not generally see at Best Buy and other retailers. For example, it offered the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for $89.99 but you saved an additional $10 if you purchased two (review deal).
At first I thought, why do I need amazon on my tv? But then, I thought, of course I need amazon on my tv! It’s actually pretty handy, and I’m not talking about just ordering shows or movies. If you just want to look at something quickly, there’s no need to fire up the computer or tablet or look for your phone (which I can never find quickly). If you want to show someone a product, poof, it’s on the tv which is so much easier to look at than my tiny phone screen! Also, if you use your alexa voice control, it’s all hand free. Admittedly, mine often has to be told a couple of times and the transition isn’t seemless by any means, but in all, it works out pretty well when I remember it’s available!
